Public Sector
Federal, state, and local agencies increasingly leverage digital media in executing their unique missions. Digital Asset Management systems enable such organizations to efficiently:
- gather,
- produce,
- organize,
- analyze,
- collaborate on, and distribute digital images, audio file and videos
The Artesia Digital Media Group's unique history (located just outside Washington, D.C.) and experience with the public sector often makes us a natural first stopping point when evaluating Digital Asset Managements. Our ongoing investment in our technology platform, now fully J2EE and standard web services for most APIs, makes Artesia a serious contender for most projects. And our detailed product roadmap will please user groups, administrators, and IT departments.

American Forces Information Service, Defense Visual Information
Opportunity: Few if any organizations create, process, and distribute as much digital media as the U.S. Department of Defense. Not surprisingly, Digital Asset Management has become a critical tool in helping to improve situational awareness, decision making, legal documentation, and public affairs. While certainly capable of creating their own proprietary solutions, DoD agencies such as the American Forces Information Service are turning to industry standard solutions to speed deployment, increase standardization and interoperability, and lower overall system costs.
Solution: AFIS Defense Visual Information directorate selected Artesia to power its central repository of DoD images and video. The Digital Asset Management solution will allow DVI to securely and efficiently manage access and distribution of imagery not just within DoD, but across all levels of government and with the public at large.
